Milan are hosting Bulgarian champions Ludogorets in a UEFA Europa League

Milan are hosting Bulgarian champions Ludogorets in a UEFA Europa League second leg between these two sides. In the first match the Italian team won convincingly with a 3-0 result.

After the result in Razgrad, it’s clear that Milan will qualify for the next round of the competition. The Bulgarians hoped that they could trouble the Rossoneri, but Gennaro Gattuso’s boys proved to be a different class compared to them. Now Milan just have to finish the job at home soil.

The first game in Razgrad started with a good football by both teams with Ludogorets having some chances to score the opening goals. Everything changed after Patrick Cutrone’s opening goal, which was followed by two goals from Ricardo Rodriguez and Fabio Borini.

We should say that Ludogorets are a good team and their performance in Europe in the last few years is proving it. They are certainly good enough to be competitive, but things didn’t go very well for them a week ago.

In the last few years Ludogorets are dominating the Bulgarian league. They are a very ambitious club, which always strive to progress. Maybe they don’t have any chances to eliminate Milan, but most surely they will try to quit the competition in the best way possible.

Meanwhile for Milan it’s a difficult season in the Serie A. The Rossoneri know that the only way to return to the Champions League is to win Europa League. So don’t be surprised to see them chasing the trophy as much as they can in the coming months. The prize is absolutely worthful.

It’d be also curious to see how Gennaro Gattuso will build his starting line-up. With the result from the first leg, he could give a rest to some key players. And maybe some of his reserves will get a chance to shine.
